Gateway for Cancer Research presents "Lifting Up Patient Voice and Quality of Life: A Scientific Symposium Highlighting 25 Years of Gateway's Achievements in Driving Transformational Cancer Treatment."
Please join us for a commemorative scientific symposium recognizing 25 years of Gateway’s investment in driving transformational advances in cancer research. In the spirit of Gateway’s new impact framework, the symposium is designed to present, reflect on, and look ahead to Gateway’s role in patient-centric cancer research.
The symposium will be hosted on the campus of Columbia University by Keynote Speaker Dr. Siddhartha Mukherjee, MD, PhD, author of The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer and The Gene: An Intimate History.

Details: The presentations will showcase clinical trials of a subset of past and presently funded Gateway researchers, illustrating the three key strategies that drive Gateway’s impact framework: (1) Patients Have a Voice; (2) Cancer Patients Feel Better and Live Longer; and (3) Patients Contribute to Overcoming Cancer in the Future.
The symposium will also feature insights on advancing development and use of patient-reported outcomes, the promise of collaboration at the intersection of systems biology and the “Big Data” space, and the value of a forward-thinking philanthropy like Gateway.
